Description
A poster by Philip Gips & Steve Franfurt which is very much from the school of "less is more". The restrained design & dark background create a sense of foreboding & suspense. As Emily King ("Movie Poster" 2003) states, the director "Ridley Scott is unusually involved in the promoting of his films. He was particularly keen that the poster for "Alien" should tantalise audiences with a chilling tagline but give away very little about the creature". The text "In space no one can hear you scream", does the job perfectly. the poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
