Description
The “Back To The Future” series of film posters (3 altogether 1985-90) provides a rare case where all the posters share a consistency of design: all 3 being illustrated by the American artist, Drew Struzan. Struzan was one of the leading exponents of airbrush artwork & initially he illustrated various B-movie posters & LP covers (for the likes of Black Sabbath, Liberace, The Bee Gees etc). However, it is Struzan’s association with both George Lucas & Steven Spielberg that has brought his work to a wider audience (Struzan has been responsible for the illustrations for not only “Back To The Future” but also for a number of the “Star Wars” posters & “Indiana Jones” too). The posters for the “Back To The Future” series are probably the only posters to feature the exotic (but commercially disastrous) De Lorean car. The poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
