Description
An example of the maxim "less is more". This is a simple but brilliant poster design: the vapour trails of the Spitfire & Messersscmitt emblazoned in national colours, against a pristine white background. The film was blessed with a stellar cast, a great score & some superlative aerial photography. Old WWII aircraft were sourced from, among others, the Spanish airforce & unfortunately one stunt pilot died during the making of the film. This is one of the most collectable of all WWII posters. It is, however, difficult to source this poster in EX condition as the preponderance of white background frequently results in unsightly marking. The poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
