Description
A simple but very effective poster design. The title is emblazoned in suitably "showbiz" like lights & "Sally Bowles" (played by Liza Minnelli), conjures an unmistakable sense of pre-war decadence. Based on the writings of Christopher Isherwood, "Cabaret" was initially developed as a Broadway play ("I Am A Camera") & later a Musical. The Bob Fosse cinema version proved to be a huge critical success, scooping 8 Oscars in 1972. The poster here is a scarce gloss version (generally the Quad being printed on a matt paper).
