Description
A dramatic Poster illustration for this 1957 Thriller with a Motor Racing theme, the film boasting some great photography from the Mille Miglia & some superb footage of period Lagondas, Aston Martins, Ferraris, Maseratis etc. According to the book "Cars In Films" (2002) by Martin Buckley & Andrew Roberts, the V12 Lagondas were loaned by Aston Martin boss David Brown, who was a friend of the director, Ralph Thomas. The Poster illustration is by the Italian artist, Angelo Cesselon, probably from an Eric Pulford design (see Sim Branagahan's book "British Film Posters" 2006).
