Description
A superb Poster design for this, Sean Connery's, penultimate outing as "James Bond". The Poster contains all the essential hallmarks of a Bond film: a laconic Bond, guns, girls, gadgets & explosions galore!  American artist Robert McGinnis holds the record for having illustrated most Bond Quad Posters, being responsible for "Thunderball" (1965), "Casino Royale" (1967), You Only Live Twice" (1967) (though only the Style-C Quad), "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969), "Diamonds Are Forever" (1971), "Live & Let Die" (1973) & "The Man With The Golden Gun" (1974). An earlier Robert McGinnis prototype for "Diamonds Are Forever", pictured one of the girl's hands positioned too close to Bond's crotch & thus had to be re-drawn (alternative prototype artwork by McGinnis achieved a price of £79,250 when auctioned by Christies in June 2011). The poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
