Description
A scarce Style-B Quad for this classic WWII film. The film tells the story of a group of military personnel who take on the might of the elements & the German army, trekking across the N. African desert in an ambulance. On reaching Alexandria, John Mills sups an ice cold Carlsberg beer, one of the iconic moments in 20th century cinema. The A-Style Quad carried painted artwork (which was normal at the time) but the B-Style shows a photographic image of the combatants struggling in quicksand. The almost photographic negative like quality of the depiction looks like a sculpture carved in stone. Slight foldline wear but the poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
