British enfant terrible, Ken Russell, had a penchant for creating very idiosyncratic films during the 1960's-70's & this film about the composer Liszt (1811-86) is no exception. Vic Fair's poster design taps into this world of eccentricity with a wacky & colourful montage. Ken Russell delved into the contemporary world of popular music for his lead actor, Roger Daltrey & also recruited ex-Beatle Ringo Starr & Rick Wakeman too.
