Eric Pulford fills every inch of the poster with this dramatic portrayal of this classic WWII engagement between the Royal Navy & the German flagship, The Bismarck. The film starred Kenneth More, one of the most popular British actors in the 1950's. More was equally at home playing the lead in wartime films such as this & "Reach For The Sky" (1956), "North West Frontier" (1959) etc, as well as more light-hearted Comedy roles such as "Genevieve" (1953), "Doctor In The House" (1954), "The Admirable Crichton" (1957) etc. Pulford played a pivotal role in the British cinema poster market, both as an artist & designer in his own right & also in amassing a coterie of talent (Putzu, Fratini, Fair, Bysouth etc) at his Downton studios. The Poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & inen-backed.
