A perfect example of "the best thing about the film was the poster"! "Spanish Fly" sees stalwarts of the British Comedy firmament, Terry Thomas & Leslie Phillips, invent an aphrodisiac concoction in Spain. Lingerie clad models & semi-nudity abounds but neither Thomas or Phillips was on top form. The poster, however, more than does it's job, the Frank Langford caricature depictions of the two leads showing them at their caddish best. This & the abundance of scantily dressed females, would have proved very effective in enticing the target audience.
