Emerging as a Hollywood starlet in the 1950's, Joan Collins enjoyed a successful film career but by the 1970's, she was reduced to appearing in decidedly B-movie features. In the increasingly risque mood of the times, these included the erotic drama, "The Stud" (1978) & it's sequel "The Bitch" (1979), both based on novels by Joan's sister, Jackie Collins. What could have been career suicide, however, led to a resurrection in Joan Collins career. Producers of a new American TV series picked up on Joan Collins forthright performance in "The Bitch" & the rest is history, the series "Dynasty" featuring Joan as "Alexis Carrington", ran for 10 years 1981-91 & catapulted Joan Collins up the "Rich List". The poster for "The Bitch" provides the enticing image of Joan Collins flourishing a fur coat dressed only in her underwear.
