Description
A typically colourful & energetic poster design for this 1970's Bond Film, the 2nd to star Roger Moore as the famous British secret agent. The film also witnessed a breathtaking stunt featuring the first 360-degree in-flight turn car ever filmed. Computers at Cornell University were employed to calculate the feasibility of the stunt & stunt supremo, Jay Milligan, completed the shot in one take (the car in question was an AMC Hornet Hatchback which Bond hi-jacks to pursue "Scaramanga" & uses to vault a river from a broken bridge). For lots more information on the stunt & the film, please see "The Essential Bond" (1998) by Lee Pfeiffer & Dave Worrall. An interesting variant of this poster comes from a merchandise tie-in campaign with Guinness, in which the famous "007" logo has been Guinness customised & the golden gun replaced with a glass of the Irish stout! This poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
