Description
Poster for the first of the "Pink Panther" films to feature Peter Sellers as the hapless bumbling "Inspector Clouseau". The poster design includes a trail of Pink Panther footsteps around the rim & presents a cartoon image of the friendly beast above the caricatures of the main actors. David Niven received top-billing for this film but thereafter, "Clouseau" (Sellers) was the star. The sequels featuring Sellers were "A Shot In The Dark" (1964), "The Return of the Pink Panther" (1975), "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" (1976) & "Revenge of the Pink Panther" (1978), all directed by Blake Edwards. The poster has been cleaned, de-acidified & linen-backed.
